First Listen and Visualization
First Listen.
I think the mood of this song is very sad and depressing,
she sounds a bit similar to Adele but Adele’s songs sound more up beat than
this. I can tell she means the lyrics in the song and they obviously mean a lot
to her. The genre of this song is quite hard to pinpoint it’s definitely
acoustic but it’s definitely not rock or pop so I would say it’s a mix of indie
and soul genres.
Visualization.
Because of the mood of this song I think a happy and up beat
music video for this song would look out of place. In the video I plan to keep
it simple and use long exaggerated shots with slow pans. I think it would look
best if it were black and white and maybe depict some colours of significant
things. I’m thinking maybe Jazz Morley is in a depressing room with only one window,
which shines light onto her.

Preparing to shoot on location
1.
Its important to make a plan before you go and
shoot film or audio on location because you need to know what equipment you
need, including what microphones. You need to take into consideration the
weather conditions and take with you waterproof covering for the equipment if
its forecast to be bad. Choosing your location is also important as the public
and even animals could get in the way or cause a disturbance.
2.
Without planning either of these equipment could
get damaged and you end up with not being able to shoot the footage you
require.

Music Video Brief
Jazz Morley –
Disconnected
Disconnected is a quite depressing and boring song so it
would be very difficult to make an upbeat music video for it, because of this,
in my music video I plan for Jazz Morley to be sat in an empty room with her
legs tucked underneath her. She will be looking away from the camera and
singing the song.
The video will start with a long shot and gradually start to
pan and track around the girl. It will then go into a close up of her face
crying, and then an extreme close up of her eye and a tear falling. The video
will be in black and white but her eyes will be bright blue, as will the tears.
The camera will then pan round to a window. The scenery in the window will be
in colour. You then see the girl walking through the field.

Presentation Evaluation
Presentation Evaluation
My self and Max Dougan presented our presentation of Ananlysing Sound For Film 'Dead Man's Chest' to the rest of our class. The presentation went fairly ok but it would of helped if we had a script and rehearsed what we were going to say. In the presentation we should of referred back to the glossary and added definitions and examples to the key terms. It would of helped if the rest of the group was here when we made the presentation because even though we started the first slide as a group I did the rest of it. The presentation suffered because of this because it lacked some things that i didn't think to put in. If I were to do this presentation again I would make sure that everyone participated in the making and presenting.
